Preserving The American Political Philosophy: Governor Longley's Architects Of Transformation
In 1976 Governor Longley Of Maine gathered together the leaders of Maine's industry to redesign the political governing system of Maine via economic development policy. Unlike the legislature and the Governor, the architects of Maine's transformation were not required to take an oath to uphold Maine's Constitution. The question is had the architects read the state constitution as they blatantly treated the rule of law, established by the consent of the governed, as a nuisance to their designs of a new centrally managed economy of Maine?
